Joshua Stringam, DO - Chief Medical Director
Dr. Joshua Stringam joined the Community Family Clinic as its Chief Medical Director in March 2021. Dr. Stringham is working with the clinic staff to improve and expand services to patients, including Hep C treatment, full OB services, and complete female healthcare.
Dr. Stringam truly cares about his patients and seeks solutions to their health problems. One of his beliefs is that preventative care plays a big role on the patient's wellness. In addition to quality care, he offers management of chronic conditions.
Dr. Stringam grew up in Provo, Utah where he completed his undergraduate education at BYU. He later attended the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) which is part of Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. He completed his residency program at Duke University/SRAHEC in Fayetteville, NC. He is a plant-based trained doctor and has 8 years of experience in the health field.
Dr. Stringam loves to spend time outdoors with his wife and 6 children, "I love rock climbing, backpacking, snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, surfing, snorkeling, and anything outdoors."
When asked why he decided to work for Community Family Clinic, Dr. Stringam mentioned the following: "I decided to work for CFC because CFC has the resources, and I can make an impact in the community of Idaho Falls." Dr. Stringam is an welcomed addition to the Community Family Clinic with his exceptional care to patients and his valuable experience in the medical field.
Joshua Tew, PA
Joshua is our senior Physician Assistant at Community Family Clinic. He has been working at CFC since May 2015. He loves seeing his patients healthy and happy. This is why he decided to become a PA. He said “Working as a Physician Assistant gives me the opportunity to help people every day”. He attended BYU-Idaho for his undergraduate degree and then continued his education as a Physician Assistant at Idaho State University. He has 7 years of experience which is reflected in the quality of care he delivers to his patients.
One of the reasons he enjoys working for CFC is to be able to serve patients that at some point have felt lost due to lack of insurance or funds. He loves to be able to provide the treatment they need. “I love being able to go home and feel that I was able to help someone that was truly in need of help” Josh said. He enjoys working with patients of all ages.
Josh was born and raised in Southeast Idaho and loves spending time with his family. Apart from spending time with his love ones, his hobbies are riding dirt bikes, go camping, hiking, and just about anything outdoors! He served a 2-year mission in Puebla, Mexico. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
Raymond Price, PA
Raymond became part of our staff in October 2018. He is one of our wonderful providers at CFC. His main motivation to work in the healthcare field is to help patients attain the desired health goals. “As a Physician’s Assistant I can to do this every day,” he says. He loves seeing people’s lives improve; “It is very satisfying to see a patient come back feeling better than they did when they first came to the clinic.”
Raymond is from Pocatello and received a bachelor’s degree at BYU Idaho, followed by a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at ISU. He speaks Spanish, enjoys working with people of all backgrounds, and getting to know people from all over the world. He also enjoys working with the outstanding staff at CFC, who all truly want to help everybody. During the summer he likes camping, hiking, mountain biking, and doing other outdoor activities with his family. In the winter he loves skiing in the mountains in our area.
Anthony Berrett, PA
Anthony is one of our new providers at Community Family Clinic. He sees his career as a good opportunity to provide for this family but also a way to help people and contribute to the community. He has been working at CFC for almost a year. He loves working with our friendly staff and being able to use his Spanish on a daily basis.
Anthony attended to BYU-I and ISU for his undergraduate studies. He received his Master's Degree in PA Studies from West Liberty University in West Virginia. He has been practicing for three years, and two of those years he worked in urgent care. He is from Southeast Idaho and loves spending time with his family, playing sports and doing outdoor activities.
William May, LMFT - Chief Behavioral Health Officer
William May directs and coordinates the mental health program at CFC and has been with us since April 2019. He provides counseling for individuals, couples, and families. He accepts clients with Medicaid, private insurance, and uninsured self-paying clients. He is bi-lingual and counsels in both English and Spanish. He has expanded the Behavioral Health program at CFC.
William became a mental health professional because he enjoys helping people solve challenges in their lives, to find meaningful solutions, and experience more joy. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at BYU, then went to University San Diego for his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. He has over 20 years of work experience in the mental health field, and over 15 years doing counseling. He is from St. Anthony, but recently returned from Florida where he lived for 10 years. He likes to do things with his kids, go hiking, play basketball, travel, play all sorts of games, and go to the beach.
Lilia Chaves, LMSW
Lilia is a Licensed Master Social Worker whose passion is serving and encouraging people to achieve personal or common goals by providing support, guidance, and advice. Lilia, a native Spanish speaker, has a background and extensive experience in the education field. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Social work at WSSU and her Master’s degree at NCSU in North Carolina State. Lilia perceives challenges as a way to grow and learn and says, “ Perseverance and courage has allowed me to face challenges and to achieve personal goals.” Lilia is pleased to be part of the CFC team to assist the under-served community; she likes to inspire clients to become healthy, self-sufficient and self-determined to enhance their well-being.
